January 20 is National Day of Service. Join buildOn students across the national as they honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through volunteerism and service to their communities. buildOn youth serve their communities through a variety of activities such as tutoring children, visiting seniors and volunteering at soup kitchens and homeless shelters. Last school year alone, U.S. students volunteered 109,605 hours of service, touching the lives of 208,3000 children, seniors and people who are homeless or disabled.

Join us for buildOn's biggest and brightest event of the year, Global Gala 2008 on November 20 in Stamford, Connecticut. Each year, hundreds of supporters gather to help raise funds for buildOn's programs in the U.S. and around the world. Last year, through ticket and table sales, silent and live auctions, and a passionate appeal, buildOn supporters helped to raise $1.6 million for U.S. and international programs.
