New York Leadership Committee
The New York Leadership Committee (NYLC) seeks to increase awareness of, and support for, buildOn through fund raising and community service in New York. We offer a unique opportunity to network, socialize, and have fun while supporting the mission of buildOn’s after-school and international programs.
Goals:
- Increase public interest in and awareness of buildOn and the New York Leadership Committee.
- Support buildOn’s programs and services through a variety of fundraising events and networking opportunities.
- Have fun while doing good by volunteering with New York buildOn students in the community.

Thank you to all who were able to attend the first annual fall fundraiser of buildOn’s New York Leadership Committee (NYLC)! We appreciate your taking the time to come out and support our cause. We hope you had a good time and were able to learn more about buildOn.
Through your generous support, we are well on our way to raising the first $2,500 to help sponsor a buildOn program at PACE high school here in New York! Your donations at the door, tips to the bartender, drinks (10% of the drink sales went to buildOn), and raffle contributions will go a long way for this program.
How You Can Stay Involved!
There are a variety of opportunities for you to stay involved with buildOn and take an active role in the organization and contribute to the local community. We look for professionals to help raise funds, plan and run events, and work hands-on with buildOn students (not to mention to go out and have fun!). The three sub-committees we have are Membership/Recruitment & Communications, Events & Fundraising, and Community Service.
All of the sub-committee leaders are excited about building fun and innovative teams and are open to anyone who might be interested in helping out when they can.
