Please join buildOn for a three-day trip to Detroit where you’ll immerse yourself in the buildOn after-school program and gain a deeper understanding of the young people engaging in our work.
During the trip, you’ll be paired up with buildOn Program Members who are actively working to lift up their community and become powerful agents for change.
By the time you depart, you’ll understand how the buildOn after-school program works, how the program in Detroit reflects our national agenda, and how you can get involved!
TRIP GOALS:
- Immerse yourself in buildOn After School Programs
- Learn about and interact with buildOn youth engaged in the After School Programs
- Understand what it means to be a buildOn Ambassador for our After School Programs nationally
- Leave fired up and ready to raise awareness and funds for the buildOn After School Campaign across the country

Location: Detroit, Michigan
Cost: $1,500
This will cover your expenses once you land in Detroit, including hotel, food and ground transportation. It does not include air transportation, beverages or incidentals.
