Mrs. Rogers and Mrs. Harris, Special Education teachers and movie co-coaches at Taylor County Upper Elementary in Butler, Georgia selected five of their best students to form this year’s movie team. Their job was to produce a two-minute movie using the school?s movie-making software and equipment for the annual Georgia Movie Academy competition. The theme was “Connecting to a Global Community” and they approached buildOn with their idea.

Mrs. Rogers and Mrs. Harris’ movie team not only produced a great piece, they raised $1,200 to donate to buildOn! Even more importantly, they learned the value of teamwork, the importance of volunteering and giving back to others less fortunate than themselves. Mrs. Rogers and Mrs. Harris hope it was a lesson the students will never forget.
